(Panama-Guide) By José González Pinilla for La Prensa - One hundred and fifty employees of Panama's National Assembly will be fired this week according to the President of that institution, Jose Luis Varela. He said these workers occupy "positions of trust" in this government agency and therefore are not protected under the "Legislative Career" law. Varela added, moreover, that these officials earn salaries between $1,000 to $3,000 dollars per month.
