Rival Drug Gangs At War Near Paso Canoa in Panama
(Panama-Guide) La Critica - The theft of a drug shipment has two groups of drug traffickers, one in Panama and another in Costa Rica, at war, according to television news reports from Costa Rica, after the assassination of 21 year-old Panamanian César Morales Atencio. His brother Guillermo was shot five times and remains hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital in Ciudad Nelly. According to police reports the events occurred in the border community of San Jorge de Paso Canoas, where apparently the two brothers were attacked by a group of four men who were travelling in a car.
