Tearing Down Buildings on Amador...
(Panama-Guide) By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - This afternoon Panama's President Ricardo Martinelli sent construction (destruction?) crews to tear down a building that had been built by the owners of the Brisas de Amador in order to supposedly house their offices. According to Martinelli, building had been built on an illegal landfill without the proper permissions and therefore there was no need to wait for an order from a judge to remove the building. They had heavy equipment out there actually ripping down the building and hauling it away. The message really could not be any louder or clearer - those who are occupying lands owned by the State and who are not completely up to date on their payments to the government have been put on notice.
