Panama Beats Nicaragua 4-0 - Advances to Gold Cup Semi Finals
(Panama-Guide) The Panamanian national team put a whuppin' on Nicaragua yesterday, beating them 4-0, and securing a spot in the Semi Final round of the CONCACAF Gold Cup competition. Panama survived the tough Group C with four points. Panama lost to Guadalupe 2-1 on 5 July, picked up one tough point with a 1-1 tie against Mexico on 9 July, and then secured a berth among the eight teams advancing to the semi-finals. Panama's next game will be against the United States on Saturday.
