Undercover Operations To Detect Non Compliant Taxis in Panama
(Panama-Guide) Starting today officials from the National Authority of Ground Transport and Traffic (ATTT) have established a series of undercover operations to detect taxi drivers who refuse to take riders where they want to go. It's common in Panama for drivers to stop and ask potential customers where they want to go, and if it's too far away or if the traffic in that area is too dense, they often just say "I'm not going there " (No Voy) and they drive away. In this ATTT operation they have established four points in the city where undercover officers posing as civilians stop taxis and ask to be taken where they want to go.
