Panama Supreme Court Refuses To Admit Figali's Suit

newsnviews2.jpg(Panama-guide) By Grisel Bethancourt for La Critica - Businessman Jean Figali suffered another legal setback yesterday when Panama's Supreme Court decided to not allow his $261 million dollar claim for damages against the Maritime Authority of Panama. The Court of Appeals of the Third Division of Administrative and Labor Litigation of the Supreme Court rejected the claim and overturned a ruling made on 14 August 2008, through which Figali's action was admitted, substantiated by Judge Adan Arnulfo Arjona. The said Court of Appeals was comprised of judges VĂ­ctor Leonel Benavides Pinilla and Winston Spadafora Franco.
