Another Earthquake Last Night, This One Magnitude 5.3
(Panama-Guide) According to the US Geological Survey, another earthquake measuring magnitude 5.3 struck the same area about 90 miles Northeast of Panama City along the Caribbean coast last night at 11:10 pm local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at 9.539°N, 78.895°W and a depth of 30.9 km (19.2 miles), centered 95 km (60 miles) NE of PANAMA CITY, Panama and 110 km (70 miles) E of Colon, Panama. This one is being called an aftershock of the 6.0 earthquake that struck in the early morning hours on Saturday.
