The Panamanian Customs Service was stopped by two days, with a multi million dollar impact on the economy, but yesterday workers ended their strike after having obtained three key demands - the regulation of Customs as a career path, the appointment of 197 workers who had been hired to temporary positions to permanent positions, and a wage hike.
