Maiden Voyage Update!

Greetings "Cruisers"! After the announcement in our Pacific Playa Community news letter about the trip on RC's "Enchantment of the Sea's" 2008 trip, we found that you were very interested and your responds was incredible! Donna Anderson and Kathie Bishop have joined me and are doing a fantastic job helping to coordinate this event and are spreading the word about it to others. Recently, we posted signs at the hotel, beach club, Country Club Towers, in the Pro Shop, at the Equestrian Club. Additionally, we are now takeing names of those who would like to go from the Expats in Panama City and Altos de Maria (Mary's Restaurant) and other locations.

In this short time we have filled 23 cabins so far and that was just in a few weeks. So, the more that know about it the more fun it will be. Tell your friends and neighbors and ask if they want to go too! When we feel that we have gotten the word out to all (possibly in January) and have a good count on the number going we will then contact Royal Caribbean directly. At that time, we'll discuss upgrades, annemnaties, special considerations and best prices with them. Once that is done we will get there recomondations for deposits to hold the cabins. The sooner we do this the better to block or reserve the cabins.

Several good suggestions have been made so far for deposits and payments but we are seeking the safest and most practical way to handle it.

We are also looking into transportation to and from Colon. We have many ideas and thoughts about this. We will keep you advised at a later date concerning this part of our trip.

There has been so much excitement about this it's even been suggested that we may want to do this on an anual basis! What do you think?
