First Anual Festival Valle Verde

The cooperativa de servicios múltiples y turísticos Valle Verde is hosting their first anual festival this may 16 to raise funds for the recycling and conservation programs we have.  General Information: 7 a.m.  Marathon. The race will start from the park by the school, goes up to the viewpoint into a dirt road behind it that comes down into Capirita (the road by the Crater Valley hotel), continues up to the Campestre Hotel by a dirt road by the Golden Frog Inn; coming out the Campestre hotel towards the High school, crossing to Aires del Gaital road (passing Los Mandarinos Hotel), coming down to the main road and across on a dirt road by Los Aramos to Millonarios road, up to the Hot Springs and back to the main road to head back to the park for the finishing line.  Registration for the race is $3.00

9 a.m.  Pet show.  We will have in the park a pet show with prices for pedigree dogs and criollos, the best costume, best skill and for pet and owner look alike. Registration for the contest is $3.00

After the pet show we will have a show for kids with jugglers, puppeteers and more.

3 p.m.   A demostration of long board skateboarding going down the viewpoint hill with a panamenian pro team DOWNHILL AUTORIZADO.

In the night: Out doors Concert, art and lots of fun from 7 p.m. (cost $5)

On stage: 

- El Pequeño Ricky y Los Planetas Perdidos (jazz, bossa nova, torrentes panameños and more).

- La Tribu Performance (scenic arts show with percusion, acrobats, jugglers, fire and more)

- Celia Crew y La Orquesta del Freestyle (4 mc´s, 2 turntables and a microphone; freestyle poetry)

-  Pepe Calavera (rock punk panameño).

- Evolución (Rock from Costa Rica).

Also, volunteer artists from a panamenian organization SembrArte

creating recycling art while the concert goes on.  This art will be sold in an auction later for funds collection.
