HSBC and Banistmo to Close During Takeover

The long awaited takeover of Banistmo by international banking giant HSBC will occur this next week. Banistmo clients will become HSBC clients as of May 4 in HSBC’s expansion in Central America. The 1.7 billion dollar deal has been in the works since 2006.
