newsnviews2.jpg(Prensa Latina) The electoral panorama is going towards a definition stage reflected in the efforts made by candidates to the different posts to consolidate positions in the voters preference.

Presidential candidates from the opposition Alliance for the Change Ricardo Martinelli and the ruling Democratic Revolutionary Movement (DRM) Balbina Herrera, presented their proposals for the procedure at the media once again.

The initiative seeks for more spreading of the measures included in the respective government plans which will be implemented in case of a victory in the elections.

The first poll of Ditcher and Neira firm, corresponding to April, kept Martinelli leading the intention of vote with 51 percent.

In addition Herrera recovered one point and reached 36 percent of preferences when there are nearly 26 days for May 3 elections.

For the mayoralty in the capital Roberto Bobby Velazquez (PRD) keeps the first position with 42 percent of approval while opponent Bosco Vallarino remained in the 35 percent and Miguel Antonio Bernal moved to 17 percent.

However Vallarino is facing a disqualification request as candidate lodged by the Electoral Attorney for his double nationality (Panamanian and from United States).
