Dance the night away to the benefit of Spay The Strays

On Wednesday April 1, 2009, Spay the Strays is holding a Benefit Dance to raise funds for their cause. From 7 – 11pm, you will be able to dance the night away to original hits from the 60s to the 90s at the Loas Olas Tower Patio in Vista Mar. Tickets are $10 for a Single and $18 for a couple. Tickets are available at the door if you haven’t purchased in advance. Cash Bar with Beer, Wine, Coke Cola and Water. All proceeds go to the Spay the Strays projects in the local area.

Spay the Strays is a small group of expats who are dedicated to improving the health and welfare of dogs and cats in Panama’s Pacific beach communities. They are accomplishing this by controlling the number of strays found on the street and helping low income families pay for the spaying or neutering of their pet. Their work is improving the health of the animal population in the area, and it is helping families take better care of their pets.

Remember the recent Spay and Neuter campaign at which 168 dogs and cats were spayed and neutered? Well, many of the animals that were brought in came from low income homes who can never afford to pay for the spaying or neutering of their pet. Others animals were found on the street. While donations were received, more is needed to cover the costs of the last campaign and to keep this work going. So, buy a dance ticket and help raise money for this worthwhile cause.
