Join the Fun at Finca La Maya
Finca La Maya, the Cultural and Arts center located near San Carlos, has been providing free classes to local communities over the past three years. Every Saturday kids, ages 4-14, gather for two hours to learn new projects and skills, express their creativity, socialize, and just have a great time together!
“The most exciting part is that we do something new every week,” says a volunteer, “but, that also means they could use some help.”
Finca La Maya invites all who have craft ideas to join in the fun. Volunteers are welcome to assist classes, or they may lead the entire class with a project of their own. Project leaders may bring supplies or use what is already available.
The only limit is your imagination!
Thanks to the contributions of FLM supporters, the class room already has some supplies such as glue, construction paper, paint, and scissors. However, supplies are always needed and appreciated. Class size averages 20 students.
If you can volunteer to assist or instruct an art class, please call and schedule a date with FLM – or just show up anytime!
