Farewell to George Eisenrich
George Eisenrich, 68 years of age, passed away at his home in the early morning hours of Sept 2.
Mr. Eisenrich was a long time resident of Gorgona and had a long career as a chef, primarily in the cruise industry.George and his wife, Teresa, opened the Gorgona restaurant “La Catracha” as a wonderful “mom and pop” eatery with excellent food several years ago, and became well known in the beach area.
Mr. Eisenrich, a German citizen, is survived by his wife, Teresa, and three grown children.
Our deepest sympathies to Teresa during this very painful time.“La Catracha” will reopen next weekend following the period of closure due to mourning.
