The Third Annual Arte en el Parque Event to be held in March

The Third Annual Arte en el Parque Festival will be held on Saturday March 21, 8:00am to 4:00pm in Penonome. The festival will be take place at the Penonome Park in the town center. The Park itself has been remodeled, and is the pride of the Penonome people and is well appreciated by visitors.   Every year Arte en el Parque transforms the park into an open air gallery.  Painters display their masterpieces along park grills and benches. Art lovers gather to admire and buy old and new works by their favorite artists and to discover emerging talent. Musicians take stage with live performances. The event makes for a wonderful Saturday afternoon of creativity and culture.

Arte en el Parque is well anticipated by the residents of Panama’s Pacific Beach communities, as a cultural and social event that bring locals and expats together. The affair is organized by an independent group of volunteers, made of artists, Penonome residents and art lovers.  Admission to the event is free.

This year the painter Ahamed Hassan has donated one of his master works ‘La Espera’, to the event. An acrylic on canvas, the painting will be on display at the Penonome Museum from January 20 to March 20 and the day of the event at Penonome Park.  ‘La Espera’ will be raffled at Arte en el Parque for $3.00.
