A Note from the Author of Casca Viejo: The Second Season
Okay—most people who have talked to me seem to find the book “interesting” so far and I haven’t heard any sweeping criticism, but then folks might be unwilling to tell me they hate it or why. (I really wouldn’t mind, since I spent 25 years of my life as a movie critic and I think I understand the process.) So far the main problems, that I’m aware of, have to do with the process itself. There are people who don’t enjoy reading on the commuter. This I thoroughly understand. My only suggestion is printing out the pages—at less than a penny a page; so far the cost would be under 40 cents. ----------------------- You can send your comments to Craig on this blog at: http://cascoviejothesecondseason.blogspot.com
The other built-in problem is that some readers are impatient with the wait between chapters. I really think there’s a flow, but it is not very apparent after a wait of over a week. It is also easy to forget the role of certain characters and some other things that have been established. Readers might want to wait a while and allow two or three chapters to accumulate before reading, but I worry people will simply forget about keeping up. Again printing it out might be an answer—so far it’s 40 pages.
Please let me know what you think and thanks for your comments so far; and thanks for your support.
