Sinaproc high tide alert until Nov. 1

The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) a high tide warning lasting until 7:00 pm on Friday, November 1 2019.

Expect high tides of approximately 18.4 feet high over the weekend, carrying through to next week. With high tides and expected rain,  Sinaproc Director Omar Smith Gallardo, urged costal communities to be cautions as rivers and streams, could rise causing flooding.

Always be sure to keep an eye on children and the elderly. Take caution when swimming or wading in the water. If you are on the water in a boat navigation equipment and personal flotation devices are a must. If there is a risk of flood, switch off the electrical panel and evacuate immediately to high areas.In case of flood, keep calm and call the Emergency entities.
