A report on the Expat Expo
For our Playa Community Readers who were interested in the Expat Expo, but were out of the country or could not attend, here is a brief report on the event from the Coronado Area Social Association.
The Expat Expo took place Wednesday, October 9th from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in Coronado Panama at the Coronado Luxury Suites located on calle Punta Prieta. The event allowed free entrance and guest parking.
The event included some vendors, services and also some speakers. The day went as follows:
10:30 Welcome and introduction by Tony Giordana representing the English Speaking Catholic Community at Hograr Monte Carmelo

11:45 Knights of Columbus
12:00 National Police
12:30 Rotary
1:00 Joel David - CPA for US and Panama Taxes

The Consular teams worked to provide information on things like, receiving Passport applications, citizenship applications and answering general expat questions. While services like insurance companies, car rental agencies and lawyers met with expats to speak about the available of these services in Panama, answering any questions they may have.
Along with services and government agencies there were also many charitable organizations out at the Expat Expo including Rotary and CASA, that along with being are area’s social organization also several charitable causes throughout the year.
