Storm warning lasting until Friday

The Emergency Operations Center (COE) of the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) issued a storm warning for Wednesday September 5th 2019 until 11:00 pm on Friday.

The forecast and surveillance office of Etesa foresees rain and storm conditions in a scattered manner over the next 48 hours throughout the country. 

For the Caribbean, waves are expected to reach 1.0 m, with periods of 5 to 8 seconds, while on the Pacific, waves up to 1.0 m are predicted with periods of 6 to 11 seconds.

Sinaproc reported the forecasts emphasizing that the conditions as reason for population living in areas vulnerable to floods and landslides to take precaution and follow the prevention measures.

In addition, all citizens should avoid visiting rivers, streams, mountains, and crossing tributaries.
