golf_fun Every American and Canadian golfer always loves a friendly competition especially when it is against each other. On Wedensday January 18th, Coronado Golf Club and Resort hosted the 5th annual US vs Canada Golf tournament. This year marked the most popular event ever with 84 golfers making up 14 Canadian teams and 7 US teams. The friendly competition began at 8am sharp and the game format was a fun yet challenging scramble. The winning team this year was a US team that shot a net score of 54. Teams were made up of men and women from the Coronado and surrounding community and finished off with a great lunch and some awesome prizes at the Coronado Terrazas Restaurant.

Donna Anderson and her team of volunteers organize the event every year with amazing attention to detail, and this year was no exception. Golf pros, enthusiasts and amateurs at best had a fabulous day out on the course adorning their patriotic colours and flags. Next years event will be held again in the 3rd week of January and it is an event you won't want to miss.
