(PanamaNewsRoom) People watchers and movie buffs were on the look out this week in Panama for Oscar nominee, actor Mark Wahlberg.

A film crew was  at work for two days in different parts of the capita lcity and in areas around the Panama Canal.

Wahlberg made his film debut with The Substitute (1993) and appeared in several  other films, including The Fighter.

A former rapper, and producer of film and television he was known as Marky Mark in his earlier years, and became famous for his 1991 debut as a rap musician with the band Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. He was named #1 on VH1's 40 Hottest Hotties of the 90's. In his early years he led a troubled life and ended up in jail on an attempted murder conviction.
