On Friday June 13th at 11:10 AM six members of the Coronado Bomberos, including the Fire Chief arrived at the Coronado Golf & Beach Resort pool for a demonstration of the new floating water pump donated by the Coronado Hotel/Eisenmann’s. After a test run, that took a several minutes to get the pump running and the hoses functioning properly, the Bomberos were joined by I. Roberto Eisenmann, Jr., Margarita Garcia, Local Police Representative and other guests for a demonstration of the new equipment.

The Coronado Hotel and the Eisenmann’s had requested a list of critical equipment needed by the Fire Department and as result, a $7000 donation of a floating pump, new hoses and couplers were given to the Fire Department from Coronado Hotel/Eisenmann’s.  The critical value of this pump is that it can be used anywhere there is standing water; a pool, a pond, a lake or a stream.  Margarita Garcia mentioned that this will have a great advantage for controlling grass fires that previously were difficult access with an adequate water supply.
