Since April, 2010, the Immigration Department, is granting 180 days to stay in the country as a tourist, instead of 90 days.
However, this extension does not apply to all citizenships. This can only be used by those who don’t need a Visa, to get in the country for tourism purposes.
*Please, also take in consideration that this extension does not apply for driving in Panama. Your driver's license from your country of origin only has a validity of 90 days.
