UNESCO designated Panama’s Casco Viejo as a World Heritage site in 2003 due to its archaeological and historical value. This status could be lost with the building of a controversial new road by-pass.
The Coronado Social Association (CSA) held a dinner/dance at the Coronado Hotel, organized by Cilla Walsh. The evening was planned for an estimate of 30 people. As news of the event spread the number of guests grew to 67, with people wanting tickets right until the last moment.
Guests gathered under the large poolside bohio to enjoy a sit down dinner. Coronado’s chef served appetizers, with a choice of mains and deserts. A DJ spun American and Latin dance favorites that got people on their feet and shaking.
The evening was a rousing success, with people asking for more events like this one. Happy to grant a wish, Cilla Walsh of the CSA would like feedback on having a Christmas dinner / dance on December 20th. Give her a call, or send her an email to let her know if you are interested in attending. 6455-0127 or
