cabalgataEvery year during the 1st week of January, Coronado's Equestrian Club sees a parade of horses that pass through the streets of Coronado. The parade is a popular Latin American tradition. Horse riders and owners parade their mounts through town streets, celebrating. The event called the Cabalgata de Reyes takes place this Saturday on January 8th at the Coronado Equestrian Club. The event is in its 10th year. This year the parade expects to see 100 horses.

The event is generally well attended by horse owners, their friends and families from around the country. The parade begins and ends at the Equestrian club, where other events will also take place.

This year the event's organizers want to diversify the atmosphere. To do so, they have invited several Craft Fair participants to set up shop and they have added an American style BBQ.

The parade is expected to begin around 3pm, which the Craft Fair and BBQ are expected to begin at 2pm.
